Outstanding, but I paid way less for the same thing in a PC model.

I just don't care for laptops as my main system. Shit is packed in too tight and breaks down / overheats too easily.

Plus, I prefer a much larger screen and high quality speakers.

My laptop is my back-up... I don't use it.
 
Yes, I understand. But a desktop does not fit in well with my command center motif.

Easy chair, amplifier, several basses and a guitar, massive 5 disc Sony cd player and 54 inch tv. I like to have my computer in my lap while I watch tv, play bass and yell at the kids.
 
Cool, I see how you can have it in your lap. I can't do the lap thing cuz I need the keyboard closer to me so I can hunt and peck.

I thought that year of typing class in the fourth grade was a waste of time. When was I ever going to use that?

We also could not buy essays in college, you had to type your own. I am not a bad typist, maybe 80 to one hundred words.

Speaking of GIFs, some of them load faster, quite fast. Then for some reason one or two on the same page will not load at all. Probably my ISP and computer at this point. Not sure why I am still getting the Be back in 20 screen once in a while. Not since last night though.

Last night about midnight was the last time I had seen it, but the fear of not being able to share the most mundane aspects of my silly little existence any time the mood strikes me is still gripping me.
 
You got fiber optics way out there in the sticks............Wow!

They installed in in my neighbourhood last month.
Since they'd have to go a quarter mile down my private driveway, I'd have to pay $350/month for the next 5 years to get connected, and that was for the slowest speed.

Yeah, the City folks are pissed they had to spend the money to get us bumpkins connected. Seemed like a waste to them. A real socialist program if there ever was one!

I suppose they thought the same thing when they ran power out here in the 50's. The Rural Electric Administration was formed and we then got flush toilets.

So they are going to dangle the fiber optic in front of you until you cant stand it any more?

They replaced all the buried copper telephone lines with the fiber optic, so we would have no phone without it. It was an "upgrade" so we did not have to pay to get hooked up to it. One guy to the south would not let them cross his land, so now he has to use cell phones and satellite internet.

Good on my iPhone. My wife broke the laptop again. That thing pisses me off. Guess I'll be buying another one soon.
