Second tie-in on removals

Is there a way to tie in with a SRT system that is self recoverable from the ground on a takedown?

I tie a figure 8 knot (leaving enough tail to reach the ground), clip a biner thru the resulting loop and around the other leg of rope, and descend on that (the captured leg). Once on the ground, simply use the other leg of rope to pull the knot down to you. Works great on spars with no limbs left on them. If there are any limbs/stubs, make sure the two legs of rope follow the same course down the tree, or the knot will knot be recoverable. :|:

I have done mexican fan palms with 20 plus years growth. In the 70s, we made good money, about the same we make now-lol- but anyway, even back then we knew the skirt could fail. We knew you needed an exit plan. Many times you felt the entire skirt move. That will freak you out. If you have a FS and an extra line, your odds are good. I don't climb anymore more but I really care about my climbers.
