Hey SSt, sorry its too big, material is tool steel so good luck filing it... Angle grind the edge closest to the rope, don't change the angle of the outer edge as that is crucial and make sure when you are done that all edges are bur free as it will trash the rope otherwise.....

Thanks! I think that may make those with sewn or spliced eyes happier than tyeing. I am not testing , only reading so I am not the best opinion though.

Just found this thread. Can't believe that I missed it before. Love the Hitch Hiker tool Paul. Sorry that I haven't had a chance to read through all of these 29 pages yet, but I will.

I was wondering is the Hitch Hiker available for purchase yet?

And Kevin, where can I get one of those "Double slick pins" for my Rope Wrench?

Today we conducted some very analytical tests and concluded that a 5 wrap prussic works equally well for a 40lbs or a 170lbs climber....
