Hmm. I don't mind it dropping fast. I just cant stand sitting there waiting for the cylinder to fill with fluid so i can continue that directional function. Maybe ill run it by a hydro shop to see what they think. Ive looked into the counter balance valve like carl mentioned in the past, but turned up with nothing.

Geez... You need a counter balance valve. Dave's valve is a regen valve, which increases extension speed by porting the fluid from the rod side to the base side of the cylinder.
