Not to spoil Butch's thread, I find that I am often moved by music with no words. I find the 'songs I'm listening to' thread too general, people just post tunes with no explanation as to why they are currently enjoying them. I like Butch's idea of HAVING to give a few words of explanation as to why the tune is special or postworthy.
Just lately I downloaded a few albums from Robin Guthrie, guitarist and co creator of the Cocteau twins. I find the music talks to something in my soul. His layers upon layers of distorted and reverb guitar work create an emotional response in me that goes far deeper than guitar music should.
