Fair enough but I would figure if its for a medical reason, its not just from supper till breakfast, it would likely be a 24 hr a day thing? I guess it would depend on the medical reason, appetite stimulus for chemo would be a different thing I would think than say glaucoma treatment.
 
my faller friend has to get stoned or fairly drunk to fall asleep since his neck was broke by a widow maker a few years back

i cant discriminate in hiring / firing as long as i get the 215 card upon hire
my ins says as long as its 12 hrs since smoking they can work
its a big money maker for dr's and clinics that provide it

here nobody cares it's like having a drink

and as long as they appear clear how can you tell
if no card, and an incident occurs you are done . fired. no unemployment.

unless you make everyone comply with the dot commercial drivers regs

i tell all the guys
give me a copy of the dr note and card
dont smoke on my jobs
thats about all i can do

fired a guy who tested clean, denied having a card
got hurt
tested when he got stitches
came up hot, and with no card on file it was a violation of company policy..so goodbye
shoulda been upfront


i learned that most white guys test positive for thc all the time
and on mondays most hispanics test positive for coke

no racial stuff meant just an observation i made in so cal

yeah the outfit i was a safety officer at had problems
it was typical for me to hunt down and find the crews that drank on the job

and the coke thing, well if you didnt want to lose guys you test at the end of the week
coke stays in system for about 3 days if i remember correctly
where thc can stay for weeks if not a month

mondays i loved to be at at the roach coach at first light, with nice loud GOOD MORNINGS with a firm handshake
the guys with hangovers used to hate it
