Um, have you EVER not bought a knife or knife stuff you fancy?
I've been working full time since 1984
And as a hobbies
Knives were always around but limited selection back then
I used to be into idpa and rifle shooting i gave that up and sold off most of my guns lately
Still have way too many chainsaws.
But knives always interested me and now with the Internet and the evolution of designs
There's stuff I've always wanted but I'm not paying what like used to be 3-400 for a john grimsmo norseman
They are 1k now and more.
Now under 100.00 i can live with so every so often I'll look around for something interesting
My absolute favorite so far is that condor low drag it was made for me it feels like.
I can see myself getting a condor swamp romper eventually or sbk they have a lot i like.

Gotta love it when you find something that feels like that. What do you use that big ol fixed blade for?
Fishing and camping it's too large for working my regular job with
But that tracker 2 is the about right size for wearing at work climbing and setting down
we cut 1" banding plastic straps and cardboard pallet boxes down alot.
A fixed blade 3-5" is knife is the best for that
Box cutters are to fragile and folding knives are not strong enough to hold up to what we cut maybe a cold steel folder or buck 110 like knife would.

A ordered a couple of these
They were 11.00 this morning
If it was a mistake Amazon will just refund me
If not I'll be happy to get them.

I'm working on getting a sharpening system that is affordable and effective.

This guy can probably help. A flat stone is great for many but not the best for me personally

I am still more than happy with my WorkSharp Precision Adjust Elite setup.

Hair splittingly sharp.

Edit: and idiot proof.

Good for smaller blades too like a pocket knife? Much set up time?

Thx for the link I will check it out.

I realize it is probably a pretty good unit, just wondering if it seems durable, looks like it is mostly plastic.

It's a 4" blade and is a very well made comfortable knife it has black liners and was extremely sharp out of the box
Olive wood handle's and a very nice leather sheath
i was surprised it was only like 50.00

I just ordered one of these:
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Jeez @Czed...you got it bad, nigh unto terminal bad. But you do choose nice knives.
:)
I take spells of looking at for something neat about once a year i might drop 50.00 or so on a knife
But my friend is a hardcore knife guy
He's had 3 different chris reeve knives on backorder for at least 3 year's
They start out at like 500.00 each and he has a whole collection of zero tolerance knives
3-400.00 each
I'm not that into knives lol
