Tried the cheapos.work great but go flat quickly
Tried mid range bit mor than double the price but don't stay put and strap system is uncomfortable
Anyone with a good recommendation.

Knee pads? For what, climbing? I've been wearing soccer shin pads for decades. They have a knee pad part to it which I wear a tad low. They really help to make spurs painless and it's nice being able to kneel down on stuff.

I don't leave home w/o them.

Chainsaw pants (not chaps) have a good deal of padding, I really notice on the very rare occasion I wear jeans up a tree the discomfort when kneeling.
Mind you Tommy wears shorts up a tree.

I keep a pair in my car. I use when when doing root crown excavation or root pruning. I think I paid $30 and they have some gel in them.

Thanks guys.
Butch, going to give soccer pads a try.
Sounds like the smartest thing
I tend to scramble around on the ground like an ape when cleaning up and chainsawing, stumping , shrub pruning and stuff.
Thanks all.
