How'd it go today?

Pretty amazing isn't it? You can have internet on the go with a fairly trivial hardware setup. Back in the day, if I wanted internet, I'd have to drive around and look for an open network with decent signal, or find a wep encrypted network I could crack.
 
Glad you enjoyed Kid Rock @cory. It’s been a good number of years since I saw him in concert. He puts on a great show. Also a somewhat interesting individual.
 
Yeah Kid was totally amazing. We were 200+yds from the stage, literally couldnt see anybody onstage but of course it didn't matter cuz of the huge vid screens. His 'riz' reached out everywhere. He's got a lot of good songs yet to keep tens of thousands of people fully entertained for well over 2 hours takes a very rare talent I'd say.

So later l did some basic searching on the guy, he's a wild child of course but turns out he's real bright and a champion of hard work. And he's a huge trump supporter. It was quite funny, in the heat of the show which included a prerecorded trump video tribute ('make america rock again') I was bout ready to cast a vote for big orange :lol: :barf:;).

He's 53, looks 37, apparently lately he's turned into quite the clean living, work out machine, including.....daily cold plunges, I think it said 4 min @ 44*:dude:

Yeah his early stuff was great, and he's pretty good live (pre trump days is when i saw him). His history of rock and kid rock stuff albums are still in regular rotation on my playlist.
 
Drove silage truck this weekend. Waiting on the next load of logs, which showed up this afternoon. Driving is kind of like a palate cleanser. I also like a little farming action now and then. Eight hours in a farm truck hurts more than 12 at the sawmill. We chopped some of the fields belonging to my logger. He was making hay today, too, but stopped long enough to get a load of logs out for me.

I would hear the start and I would think ’brilliant!’ then the truth hit..his crappy nostalgia rip off tune would start.

Warren zevon is amazing, i could see your disappointment. That's what they play on the radio, and that's not his good stuff imo. It's popular because it's catchy but the radio stuff is almost never the good stuff, and that's true for a bunch of artists. The offspring were the kings of this, they would do 2 or 3 poppy radio songs on an album and the rest of it would be awesome, and kid rock was the same because most of it is too vulgar to try to play on the radio. His history of rock album was basically a remake of his polyfuze album, so it's from when he was nothing and was starting out, good stuff. I hated him when i first heard of him too, then after awhile it clicked for me when i heard a bunch of his non radio stuff.




 
Stopped in to see a friend. He and his wife take in primates from labs or when they get old-they had Charlie the Chimp from the Clint Eastwood movie. They are somewhat of a retirement home among other things.

They have a baby spider monkey that was confiscated from a illegal owner. The woman paid $10 000 dollars for it. Might have got fined as well. It is the cutest little thing.
 
Went to the noisewall today for the first time in awhile. Had to layout an access road. Plans were shit. A bunch of scribbles that basically meant nothing in the end. Lots of effort to provide little value. Hot as hell. The edge of the creek was infested with knotweed, and it felt 10° hotter down there, with no wind. Smelled like skunk. I never noticed that with knotweed before, but maybe I just wasn't paying attention. I'm glad I shortened grass yesterday, cause I really don't feel like it today.
 
I've been busy trying to get my move to Massachusetts in order. Still have a lot to do and I officially fly out on July 7th of this year. Very stressful, but I have to stay focused.

Spoke to @Kaveman today, which is always helpful, for a couple of hours. He's a great guy and he has really helped get through a lot of my recent bullshit with my ex-girlfriend and all of that. We speak quite frequently; he and his situation are very relatable. He's definitely become my best friend without any doubt in my mind.

Looking forward to getting more accomplished, day by day, so that I can leave Arizona behind for good and restart my life over in Massachusetts, where I'll be closer to family, with actual public transportation, and better opportunities. I only moved to Arizona to be closer to a girl who I thought I knew, but after 7 years with her, it became obvious that you might never really FULLY know someone -- no matter how much time and physical or emotional energy you might spend on them.

Getting a secure career path in order is my primary focus, with new relationships being something I'm willing to put off for awhile, save for new friends.
