How'd it go today?

Thats good news Justin! You bale it yourself?

You guys are earlier than we are up there. We have three more weeks to go, probably.

Yah it's early this year by a couple weeks or so. Been fantastic weather for it and I've fertilized and watered like mad so looking forward to a good hay year for once. I have a farmer cut and bale it, then I pick it all off the field and stack it in my ancient hay shed. $2.50 a bale but worth $7.50-$10.00 so not a bad deal. If I can sell a couple hundred I can cover off most of my feed expense for keeping three horses happy.

Thanks for the comments on the scenery, I thank my lucky stars everyday to be able to live in such a beautiful place. I have access to the hills pictured 10 min ride from my place, most of the year the gates are left open. Endless riding in most directions here. Good for the soul.

As a sidenote the picnic table in my 'pic' I cut the dead pine down, milled it, and constructed it into that fine piece of furniture. Lol.

Did my first rescue today, the other climber decided to take out the top 50 feet of a red oak, tight quarters and a conventional notch ended in the top hitting into another tree and sliding back towards him. Luckily it didn't pop his head off. So we secured the hanging top and got him out of the tree, after I got the top on the ground I took off my gear and decided it best to watch and coach, and teach.

So far the whole thing of working 3 hours from home and sleeping in a tent has equaled nothing but headaches, it's a good thing that the money is good or I'd be outta here

I am making an adapter for a valve spring compressor. The piece threads on to a rocker arm stud and acts as a guide for a lever and a crow foot to compress the valve spring.

The company I bought the tool from did not make a metric adapter, only a double ended one for 3/8ths and 7/16ths. This thread is 8mmx1. I had to buy a tap too.

Since I am too cheap to buy round stock, I used and old shot out .220 Swift barrel.

Haha, if it's any consolation to Stig and Fiona, I did think about it while cutting. Old Habits. I never had the benefit of proper training.

I'm consoled:)

Fi is probably still digesting her lunch and couldn't care less about wrapping thumbs.

You sure eat well, Girl!

Building a part yesterday.

So apparently climbing trees is the only thing you don't do. Mighty impressive.

Managed to work between the raindrops today and get everything done at the course. Worked out nice...started raining all 3 times I was in the building and quit before I had to go back out each time.

Boss said I can work Thurs. night instead of Fri morning if I want to take some pressure off on getting going out of town in a timely manner for a show I have booked 388 miles from here...thought that was pretty cool of him (his idea).

Escorted WWII vet and family to hospice. Thanked him for his service. He smiled ..... And said, your welcome young man.
Humbled....
