A buddy just called, a friend of his was killed in a terrible accident, something stupid that we ALL really need to be aware of! He told me what had happened and I told him that was the first thing I was taught at White Star machinery and honestly I'm amazed someone at one of the rental yards hasn't been killed in the same manner the way they display the machines!
He was driving a skid steer and got out, for some reason or another, then the boom arm failed and crushed him! I've heard of this more than once, even had it happen here in the town I live in! DO NOT trust hydraulics enough to get under them! Loaded or not, block or tie them up! My buddy is really shook up over this and couldn't believe it could happen so easily!
A short video is really all I could find right now, not much information,

Damn, Sorry for all involved.

Thanks for the reminder, Andy.

I'm around hydraulics all the time now with the Mini.

Do Kbooms have check valves akin to aerial lifts?
