I don't have a new set of climbers, but in my case having all the straps tight sure feels good on my Varicose veins, actually seems to have reduced them!- Raj

I think it was mentioned somewhere on this site before by wearing heavy soccer socks or even shin pads, might be a short term solution.- Raj
