    MS201T

I recently went the aftermarket route with a 024 piston, rings and wrist pin. This is also the first time I have used aftermarket parts. Never again will I do that. Nothing really fit the way it should have. I spent more time sandpapering and light filing to get things to fit togehter nicely but...

I have not been able to keep current on this 201 verses the 200 as to which one is the best saw. The 201 has been out for awhile now . Those of you that have one how do you like it???? The first ones out on the market had problems but according to some those problems have been fixed and it is...

Thanks Jay, I must have been having a brain fart. I have used those degree wheels for porting. I just didn't put 2&2 together for timing the flywheel and coil.

A thread or a post made by someone on another site also sung praises about the ms241c. I have heard that those saws are only available on your side of the big pond, Stig and are not available in the American market and they never will be. I think they have an emissions issue because of the EPA...

Well I am glad I am not the only that feels this way. I saw that vid over at AS too. The muffler mod I could see but advancing the timing didn't seem like it would be a smart move. On the subject of advancing the the timing I am not too keen on that one. When I was having timing problems with...

I think some of Stihl's carb engineers need to go over to Echo to learn how a good carb needs to be built. I am not a Echo fan, don't get me wrong their equipment is underpowered compared to Stihl but I do have an Echo blower and that thing sits around for weeks at a time with fuel that goes...

I got to check out a new 201 that my dealer got in the other day when I went to get my new 200 T out of layaway at the dealer and put a deposit on a new 200 with the rearhandle. Like Arb 1, I am stashing them till we need them. I coundn't tell in any difference in weight between the two saws...

Your on the right track Al, I did a little searching and this is basically a stratifed engine in nutshell. Magnus mentioned this some time ago that this strafied tech is nothing new has been around for a long time , mostly in the auto industry .www.scribd.com/doc/35928497/ or just use Goggle or...

I did find a little more info on the 201 from my dealer but neither of us have seen the new 201. I don't know if this info is correct or not. The new saw has a stratofied engine and Stihl is calling it a 2 mix. Unlike the 4 mix which has the little valves . The 2 mix has an extra intake port. I...

FJR, I would be very interested in how these new 201's run compared to the 200's. How about a treeman's review so to speak.

Wow, this new 201 is starting to look like all the other top handles on the market. How did this guy over at AS get his hands on the saw. He didn't steal it and I don't think he bought it even though it sounds like he did. It is almost like he got it off e-bay or something like that.:lol:
