It's just a slip knot! Geez. Here I was getting all wound up to learn a new knot with a fancy name. I use it all the time for a thousand things.
Now back to the purpose. Just a stopper, right?
Wow, I like that hitch! Still not clear how it fits into this application. What's the purpose? The GG will be clipped to the trunk-wrapped sling directly. Is it like a collapsable stopper knot back up in case the GG slips?
You mean the hitch like this, and using a biner instead of the tool? Wouldn't it be tough to remove the biner, as opposed to pulling out the spike?
