    bridge hardware

I'm usually on here with problems, so I thought I thought I'd post a 'win': https://www.treestuff.com/store/catalog.asp?item=16096 Got one last week, flew it for the first time over the weekend on a small job. AWESOME! I was skeptical about the niche this could fill between having a swivel...

    MCRS leg loop buckles?

I've been having a hard time getting my boots and pant legs through the leg loops on my MCRS. Starting to do more spur-climbing, and haven't even tried to get it on while wearing those. I'm thinking there must be a way to put a buckle or little tiny autolocking carabiner in the leg-loop rope...

    Replacement Dee's?

So... My boss accidentally ran over my crappy plastic toolbox full of my spur climbing gear, with a split-dump. Luckily I was letting another climber borrow my spurs, so they survived, but all the rest of my hardware including the D's on my old weaver leather saddle got trashed. Amazingly, the...

    pricing small logging job

I'm putting together a quote for a small (50 trees) logging job. First time I've needed to do something 'official' like this and not just around the farm/family/friends/free-ish. I can leave the stumps, and the HO wants to clean up the limbs/slash, but wants me to provide a separate quote if...

    homemade throw bag

I am sure there are plenty of ways to do this better and I am equally sure most people could figure this out on their own, but I thought I would share how I make my own throwbags in case anyone was interested in saving some money. I do not accept any liability or responsibility for anything...

    high angle rescue book?

Anyone know of a book about high-angle rescue work that applies to tree work? I've found a few, but they all look like they're meant for urban fire departments or spelunkers... Thanks,

Anyone know if this will work instead of a carabiner on the hitch hiker?

Treestuff has a new product listed: http://www.treestuff.com/store/catalog.asp?item=15672 I've 'asked an expert' if it will fit around the hitch hiker- if so, does anyone see a problem substituting this for the lower carabiner like richard mumford's use of a shackle/clevis for the same purpose...

Saw Storage - Decompression Button Question

Just acquired my first 'big' saw, a stihl 661 RCM :D. It's also the first saw I've ever owned that has the decompression button thingy on top that you press before trying to start it. My question is this: when you store the saw between startings (overnight or a couple of days) should you...

How to store and transport spurs?

I just got my first pair of spurs and have used them a couple of times. They work great, but I worry every time I put them in a box or bag with my climbing equipment that they are tearing my other gear up. Does anyone have a good trick for storing and transporting spurs?
