Looking hard at a 592XP looking for some honest feedback - have also considered the 661 or 500i but kinda kicking tires at this point. Going to pull the trigger right after Christmas so i'm all ears.

Just curious if any of you are using or have used these poles. I'm always sceptical about telescoping tools but on the other hand the idea is also nice. Trying to decide if I give one a try. Interested to know if the pole rigidity is like the standard pole...
You doing lots of removals or more contract felling/road access work? I always found folks up north tended to deal with their own tree work but with a higher than avg. salary guess folks are calling instead of doing!!!
How is Thompson treating you? I've always wanted to move there ... I once was going to take a flight nursing job up there but ... things didn't pan out. Well when I make it up there I'll definitely look you up. We have a small herd of Caribou here too ... fun to watch.
Well my season just wrapped up here - one 3 year old bull moose, 0ne Whitetail with the rifle and one with the bow. All in all a rather touch season ... for the time spent!!! Was skunked on Mulie and Elk!!!

My choice would be to get some CR-10 soak the barrel and leave x 45 min. / swab and repeat x 2. Then brush it with a non-metallic brush x 30 -60 times and then swab. After that oil it really good with G-96 and then forget about it if there is any pitting. if it shoots well...

Haven't been around for awhile due to crazy work schedule here but as the season is wrapping up nicely and I'm getting ready for Christmas just a shout out to you all to have a good one and wish you ALL the very best for next year.
