First one is ant tree and second is cavity tree.

I have one tree with a cavity and one with black ants. I am trying to save them. The one with a cavity I am not sure if I should fill the cavity or not? If so, what to fill it with. The second one I am straying with ant killer. Once I get the ants killed I plan on spraying it with pruning...
