Any suggestions on a good vacuum sealer? I’ve been using an old “seal-a-meal” but it’s load as hell and takes forever and is losing its suction power. The standard brands at the big box stores have mixed reviews. I’m even thinking of a small commercial unit now. I spent 3 hours the other night fussing with 15 lbs of bacon. About to do it again tonight. I got it at a good price in bulk but with my time it’s probably more expensive than buying at the local grocery store

Food Saver here as well. It has served me well but it's slow.
I'll have to look into those Jim when this one dies.

I just looked at those Jim. Pricey is correct. But if it will last for what I need I’ll never have to buy it again. I’m on my second store brand vac sealer and it’s about whooped. A few more and I’m at that price. Gonna talk with the old man up the road about it this week end. He’s wise in many ways. Also keeps a fridge stocked with beer and doesn’t drink anymore. It’s my duty as a good neighbor to make sure he is doing well.
Also need to assure a great seal. Might need to put a few small items in long term storage.
