Years ago I was home during the day cos I had no work or something.
So I was watching the discovery channel and it was a travelogue with some 6 ft something Californian touring Africa.
He was with some tribe or other who had a kind of wrestling week every year, and the champion, a coal black mountain of a man, challenged this yank for the cameras, so I’m sitting there thinking ‘this will be good!’
The Californian réveals in passing he did high school wrestling before they get to it.
Anyway it kicks off and unbeliveably the Yank actually wins! Much to the embarrassent of the man mountain tribe champion.
Made me realise if you get in tight with these guys you will be making all sorts of new and painful shapes.

Let me see if I can find it…

Good day.

Took the boys to a BJJ Open. Haakon now fights in the Adult blue belt division. He had 3 wins and 1 losses from his 4 matches. All three on the podium had 3 wins and it went back to how many advantages they had in their fights. It meant Haakon got bronze. Quite funny as he has beaten the gold medalist quite comprehensively.

Torsten had 2 fights as the group was small.
He wins the first and lost the second bit came home with Silver.

In total the club had 21 wins, 5 losses and 9 medals from 9 fighter.

got 50 secs? check out one of Goat ufc fights and hear Rogan lose his mind

Interesting fight between 2 legends: 4 rounds comprising 2 of MMA and 2 of Muay Thai, using mma gloves. Rodtang vs Mighty Mouse. It didn't go the distance :drink:

Haakon was back in the ring today. First Muay Thai fight in 4 years.

Adult C class, fighting a 22 year old guy.

Haakon put on a technical masterclass for two rounds and battered the opponent. The opponent quit on his stool and didn’t want to come out for round 3.

Cheers Sean, he trains hard. Has a good fight IQ and listens to his coaches.

He started Muay Thai at 4 years old so has a few year of training behind him.

But it is his determination that impresses me. Very calm and collected and seems to take it in his stride.

Best thing to compliment this is he is a straight ‘A ‘ student across the board.

He make me and his mam very proud. 🙏🏼
