There was also a video responding to a comment from Sean Strickland about how he would beat a trained Navy seal. The Navy Seals said BS so he called them out.

One brave Seal actually turned up and the UFC fighter beat the living shit out of him for the entire duration of the spar.

Respect to the Seal though, he didn’t quit.

Some, but not all, were a bit butthurt about it, saying in a real fight the marines would have gouged his eyes out etc.

What impressed me was first of all his complete confidence, and the stamina to do 10 fights one after the other, seemingly without fatigue.

That doesn’t surprise me regarding the comments.

It is the same with any of these things really. There are always some armchair expert saying in a real fight, blah blah blah!

It wasn’t a real fight though? Most armed forces learn CQC with or with out a weapon. The point of the exercise was to demonstrate that BJJ can be useful as well as the eye gauging etc. Imagine if a cop poked someone’s eyeball out where as using proper technique they could just detain them without causing injury.

I don’t know why people can’t just appreciate the fact that Paddy Pimlett just rolled with 10 Royal Marines, back to back and just subbed everyone of them.

Royal Marines are rough/tough dudes whose general level of fitness and strength is far greater than the average Joe in the street.

Imagine if those Marines were at a higher level in grappling as well as the survival techniques the commentators mention.

They would be absolute beasts.

@Mick!

Here is the other fighter vs SEAL clip I mentioned.

Notice he said they could last with him in his MMA training? The older dude automatically start talking about a street fight.

The full 25 minute video is out there somewhere. But I think the Navy Seal, who was also an MMA fighter sums it up best at the end.
