On the oak I just milled, I ran out of room with a 36" bar/mill. I was able to shave the log down with my axe so I didn't have to take the dogs off, but I could run into that issue again, and it may end up being more than the dogs will account for, plus, I have more mill space to use that's just being wasted. Y'all think the 661 could pull a 41" bar, perhaps with a skip chain? Looks like Cannon makes one that would fit.

Just mulling options. At this point, I don't want to make chainsaw milling "a thing", and I'm not sure I want to pay the bill for a Cannon. It might be better to just freehand rip a log til the mill fits, but it's good to keep options open.

660 should pull a 41. Maybe not in oak. 084 or 3120 would do it fine. Maybe a skip tooth chain would work less?

I use an auxiliary with my 36" bar, but I need to change it. It's a gearoil bottle with a tube, and valve on the end. It works, but it's inconvenient. The tube got stiff from oil, and the whole setup is a little clumsy.
