M climbed a small red cedar near the house, about 40 feet up to get rid of the eyesore that showed up day before yesterday. She's still got what it takes, at 68!

Hunting one year I found a balloon with a laminated note tied to it. A school girl in New Zealand had let it go for a school project to see who’s balloon would travel the farthest. Had a name and return address and requested the finder write back. I gave it to my son who was still in school to deal with thinking it would be a cool thing for him to do. They became pen pals and wrote each other for several years. She eventually broke his heart and moved to Montana to marry a cow farmer.
