It pains me to say this but Jed was struck and instantly killed by a large limb that broke out of a big leaf maple he was in the process of felling. He died on Friday January 20th 2023. Jed was a good friend of mine and he was a friend to many of you on here. I was talking with his oldest daughter and she mentioned how much joy Jed got out of shooting the breeze with you guys on here. I felt like you should all know.

That really hurts to hear the news. It’s hard to believe and I read it several times just to make sure it said what it actually said. It’s hard to know what to say. We had a few DM’s and Jed was always very encouraging. I looked up to him in a way. It’s still hard to believe that happened. My brain doesn’t want to process the news.

I had the privilege of working with Jed when he lived here in Southern Oregon. One of the most humble guys I've worked with, real family man and hard worker. Deepest condolences to his beautiful wife and kids. Please let us know if any funeral arrangements. Terrible loss.

I know Jed is being prepared for a funeral service. Jed was very strong in his faith and he was very active in his church. His family wants him to be at rest as soon as possible. His funeral could be as soon as Thursday. A go fund me is being put together and I will pass that along as soon as I know more. Thank you for all of the condolences I know he was part of a family here.
