Are you using it daily? I’m still suffering with my old galvanized water trough and putting frozen milk jugs in the night before. I can’t justify the unit you bought but I might be getting the grizzly soon. My trough has started to leak and I can’t seem to get it to seal with silicone. Might have to try flex seal😆

My norm seems to be go in 2x per week. But the chiller is nice due to convenience= if the spirit moves, you can go in anytime without preplanning etc.

Brendon has the Grizz and he adds ice, he totally loves it, no regrets.

365 days of itt????!!!! Just freaking wow!!

I wasn't planning on going in today buy you got me over the hump, 34*x 2 min.

No stinkin' way. Not ever in my lifetime is that happening here :D.
Ha that's what they all say!

B, I guarantee this is what would happen: Exactly how you would finally agree to get in the tub I'm not sure of but while getting in and then staying in you would be more or less gasping, swearing, and protesting to the absolute best of your abilities, but after you got out, the "ya know that was actually kind of fun and wow, I feel absolutely amazing now......" You'd be all smiles and goodness with zero regrets. :rockhard:

99.5% of people don't like the idea and process of getting in but 99.985% of people feel amazing afterward.:rockhard:

And one of the many benefits from it that maybe hasn't been mentioned here previously is the quality of your sleep that night will be unsurpassed.

Today was no different than any other. I procrastinated for quite a while before getting in.

To clarify, it has been a year. I’ve missed a few days here and there. Not the easiest to take my plunge tub with me and a lot of hotels only have a shower. When I was in Tennessee I just went swimming in the mountain streams every day and that was plenty cold.
I ordered that ginormous grizzly cooler finally. It’ll be nice not having to dump ice in every day in the warm months. Also I can put it on my trailer or in the bed of the truck for when I go glamping and just fill it when I get there.

I hadn't dunked in 2 weeks for no good reason other than letting my inner bitch dominate.

Was in yesterday and today thanks to Rich's inspo. Sure enough, as usual: Slept like a baby for 8 hours straight last nite (yes plunging promotes sound sleep). Felt like a million dollars after yesterday's sesh, like $1.875 million after today's. Got a superb workout in after.

Was thinking of it in arithmetic terms;

Say the extreme difficulty, foot dragging, and hesitancy of Getting In is equal to 1 unit of physical/mental energy expended. The euphoria, positive energy, and productivity a plunge produces is equal to, idk, say realistically 1.3 energy units.

So you get some "free" returns. Cold plunging is a good bargain :rockhard: 🦬8)🎯;)

Rich, you gonna love that large Grizz cooler. And hey, it can fit 2 peeps, is the Mrs down??!!??;)

Does it help to procrastinate for a few minutes thinking how bad it will feel vs just going for it without a thought?
That right there is by far the biggest hurdle imo, the pre plunge thinking and dread and bargaining. I think the easiest way would be jumping through a hole cut into lake ice cuz boom, it's done, no getting in slowly-torture.

And what I said above about energy units expended, it's all mental energy, no physical energy before the plunge. But afterward you are granted lots of mental and physical energy.
It could be colder, add some antifreeze (salt or alcohol).
Good call, we have a fair amount of salt in ours.
