I started out on a chilly early morning with a light pile jacket. As the sun rose I got overheated. Any tips for heat management when you have a variety of temperatures in one climb?

Agreed, a fun trick, though in the app shown, wouldn't it be superior in most every way to simply use lanyard and spur downward to the site of next cut?

I just use a flipline, with the lifeline round the tree as back up, move them both down at the same time if possible.
same except my lifeline is chocked srt. only time i rappel down is when the stem is annoying to spike/climb, full of ivy maybe

then how do you get it down to you if it is choked, just flip it back and forth a bit until it loosens enough?
i use a running bowline. if i wanna pull it down i tie another bowline around the tail of my rope (rope on rope, carabiner would be cleaner) that way i can rappel down a third of my rope length.

i can make a picture to clear things up?

Sure! I get what Bodean is saying but not positive what you are saying
