Definatly was. Consider making a Pig trap if you have pigs in your yard. Might be a more productive way to hunt them since they are close to your home already?

I was charged by a wild boar in front of my wife to be. I shot it on the run with a 308 but hit it too far back, it wheeled around and went after me. I had to wait a split second before it launched out of the gorse at the roadside, i fired instinctively hitting it in the head but its momentum...

Just take extra care gutting a wild pig, you never know what there last meal was.If you pop its guts and its last meal was a rotten animal you can get quite sick if you eat the tainted meat. Shoot it and gut it as quick as you can. Pork spoils fast.

I still want to shoot an Antelope, maybe next year? I really stuffed up this years hunting trying to juggle my new girlfriend, my daughter and work plus a mates wedding. I have to be less busy and more organised. I have 8 tags still to fill but no time to do it. Silly man.

Shot a couple of Reindyr Bucks. Had the meat flown out by Helicopter after carrying it down the mountain. Buried the Animals gutted but whole in a snow bank, then went back up a few days after and butchered them. After building a "long range Reindyr sniper rifle" I shot both these animals at...

I spoke to a Kiwi this morning who goes to the states each year to hunt Antelope on public land. It sounds like a great experience,he has hunted Montana and Wyoming five times all on public land. He has suggested some ballots that have higher chances of drawing a tag,the points system is...

I used Barnes 168grn TSX this year. I am unimpressed with them, they are simply to hard and dont kill fast enough. I shoot a robust charge of VV n140 in a 8X57 Mauser i imagine its pretty close to 30-06 Balistically. I am going back to old school cup and core bullets, they have always worked...

Sounds good!At what range do you typically shoot them? I see quite a few people favour more flat shooting calibers.
