Lots of towns on the seashore have communal Saunas on the waterfront now, where people meet up and sit and chew the fat in the sauna for as long as they can stand it, then go swimming in the sea.     I just do it because it feels good. Don't know or care about the health benefits. Back when we had snow, I'd jump out of the hottub and go roll in the snow. Then back in the hottub.
