Daniel, don't bother to answer this, I have put you back on ignore. Why do you think it is, that every time you post your grandstanding videos or pictures of your absolutely groundbreaking, out of the box, simply out of the reach of us mere mortals, work, either here or at the other forums...

I was enjoying a nice and quit forum with you on ignore, when you called me out to brag about your incredible treefalling skills. Since then you have called the members here idiots........twice. No wonder they love you so much at all the treeforums. Or how is it with that, you still...

I see a facecut ( Which is what the rest of the World calls your "Notches" BTW) that has been cut in several tries and several levels. I mean, whatever in the World happened in the far corner of the "notch"? Did you pull the saw out to have another try, like 3 times? I see that you had no idea...

Well, nothing much for them to hit, if they did.

Which could have turned out downright nasty.

As for constructive critisism, that is a waste of time with you. People have been telling you for years to learn how to use a saw. Hasn't helped any.

And it looks like it was made by a demented beaver on mushrooms. I wonder if Da Murph does it on purpose, to get feedback to fill his bottomless longing for attention. I mean, surely someone who has used a saw for more than 3 months can't be so clueless.

This is turning into philosophy 101 for treeworkers.

Actually, he never did. Daniel, was it or was it not a notch, before you cut it off? The fact that it has been cut off and is now laying on the ground, doesn't change that. Or was that demented beaver extremely short legged, perhaps.

Nope, not bragging or grandstanding at all. As for decent notch, look at the one that has been cut off and lies on the ground. Stellar work, indeed. A demented beaver on mushrooms could have done better. "and then you criticize some scratched bark that had zero chance of effecting the next...

I was not the one calling everyone a bunch of idiots. Guess I'm too stuck in the box for that kind of stuff.

It ALWAYS goes like this. Murphy posts pictures of something that to him is completely "out of the box" and really shows his extreme skill level. The rest of us idiots fail to see his greatness and he turns nasty. Every time!

I call that lack of ability to run a saw. It continues to amaze me that " The greatest treeman in the World" has so little feel for using the primary tool in treework. Daniel, that job looked like it was done by some hack, working for beer money. It also continues to amaze me, how, every time...

Sorry. I should have said: "Excellent work and really smart idea to mark up the cuts on the next stem, so you won't have to think about where to cut, when you fall that one!!!" My bad.

I have you on ignore, Danny boy. Someone alerted me to this. Great saw control the way you cut into the stem behind the one you were falling, because you had no idea where your bar tip was. I'd lay into my apprentice for sloppy work like that.

Still not getting the joke? But then you are rather dense.
  17. stig

When and where did I say that? I made a joke, based on the way you love to come across as the great guru. I never said a thing about how that hinge would work.

I love when you do that: "Here is a question from the zen master of trecutting to y'all" thing. I simply cannot believe how highly you think of yourself. As for the answer to that old zen koan " What is the sound of one top falling?" If you are doing the cutting, the sound of garden furniture...

Because I think knowing how to sharpen a saw is paramount to doing treework?

So my "small-minded othodoxy" was because I was mimicking you. In that case I shall embrace it and rejoice over it. I think you are probably the one member who is too dense to see that I was making fun. Not of the cutter, but of you. The day you can make a clean cut like that, with the saw...
