If it's dry in the winter where you are like here, I would definitely recommend moisturizer over split up hands. I like the working hands cream too. Not very greasy.

Chains are the superior winter traction device for certain. Even compared to high quality studded winters. When working winters in the woods it didn't take many 'lessons' to learn its better to put them on before they're needed than to deal with the situation created by driving without after...

That looks like some big time farming Jim good luck with the cover crop. My little hay field is getting beat to death by rain here this spring. It's overripe now and ready to go just can't get a stretch without rain. Crazy wet stretch of weather here which is starting to get to me. Might...

Nice! Just watch your wife doesn't get the bug too. My wife and I ride together a ton but that crazy woman keeps rubbing out on her dirtbike. Just yesterday she went down again. :whine: we've been lucky. Scrapes and bruises only so far.

Sean as for a spill kit I just had a commercially available one that came in a five gallon pail. In these parts they're readily available at any commercial supply or equipment dealer. Up here that covered my ass for obligations of what I needed on hand. Never did have to use it, but it road...

A spill kit should be standard equipment for any tree service running hydraulic equipment IMO.

You just stock up a lake/pond and people pay you to come and fish in it? That could easily lead to a serious bout of alcoholism. :drink:

I get antsy as f-ck when not working steady. Drink to much, ride bikes to much(not in that order) , start to think about daytrading as a job, seriously consider buying lotto tickets. Etc, etc, etc. I'm definetly happiest and most content when I work a 40hr week, and maybe some ot too.

Long weekend is nearly here. I've been painting my house this week. Fugging boring. But needs to get done and I'm not about to pay someone to do it while I'm not working(two week mill curtailment). We go back to work next week but running such a skeleton crew/shifts that I'm on call. Hopefully...

It can depend where you are stung I believe. Face and head will swell some with no allergy ime. But wasps and the such shouldn't cause much of a reaction elsewhere. I've been stung by bees of all sorts many times and recently was stung while riding my motorcycle. Little welt here or there from...

That sucks Stig. Seems you've been going through a few apprentices recently. I hope you can find one that's up to snuff and has some longevity. I am currently laid off for two weeks. Due to the market/log prices and all that jazz which has been putting the severe hurt on the BC forestry...

I've had it a few times over my life. The heat just brutalizes me now. It's smoking hot here this week. I'm hiding indoors this evening.

Sorry to hear of your friend Jim. Shitty run of luck Rich. Things are bound to turn around. Good update Cory. No one is irreplaceable at work, no one. Hard to remember sometimes but always true.
