Tirfors are awesome. Which size do you have Jay? The bigger ones seem to be prohibitively heavy.

I like the idea of a movable storage room. :)

    I like that trailer!

It's not possible to switch it out under load. Even with that Smart Winch I don't think there's any way you transfer a rope from the bollard to the winch, or vice versa, while it's under load.

Just saw this Euro version of the GRCS over on Arbtalk. I want one! http://cprinnovations.com/page3.php

I never minded the feral chickens when I lived in Hawaii. Unless the rooster decided to crow right outside my bedroom window at three in the morning. Then I wasn't so thrilled.

Big Shot rocks! Now go find some golf balls and a big wide open space and see what kind of fun you can have. ;)

I sent an old rope bridge in a few months ago and never heard back. :( It didn't look near as bad as that hitch cord though!

That looks nice and light Adam. I'm curious to hear how it is using the 3mm cord as a footloop. I haven't climbed any tall trees lately so mine hasn't really been put to the test yet. I'm using the HH, so usually on anything under 35-40 feet to the first branch I just use a lanyard over the...

Thanks Adam, a grommet is the simple answer. I'll try to track down one of those kits. I'm another fan of those big Dan biners. The guy I work with in NM also has one on his chipper winch. It is seemingly indestructible.

The 3mm is holding up fine, but I need to come up with a better way to attach it to the webbing footloop. That attachment point isn't going to last long.

I love lightweight gear setups. Time to test cycles to failure on 3mm accessory cord. :D

OK say what you will about Kong, but this little ascender was too cute to pass up. It'll be used for advancing a footloop in a ropewalker system. The helmet was much cheaper here than in the US, only about $87. Unfortunately, they only had white. I was hoping for a more exciting color.

It's so that the deceleration begins before you have had time to build up too much momentum in your fall.

Does a double taper wedge lift better or something? What's the difference in use from a standard wedge?
