Brought in a nice Teupen spider lift to work on a hazard tree job. Really nice machine with 23m height and approximately 12m outreach I think- the guy who owns it is one of the best operators I have ever seen.
@CurSedVoyce do you not think a small mulcher would work for you on those sites? We often hire thisGreenClimber in to prep Sites. It’s impressive what it can deal with and is very capable on steep slopes
I am beginning to think that climbing is overrated- first day of a 2 day ash removal job. Big jecko crane and a a decent sized grapple saw sure makes life easier.

Must have been a week for crap and crumbly trees. This beech was dropping bigger & bigger pieces on the road. Had to climb up and get some side weight off before I dared fell it. Not the best trees to work on, but I did park a 10t tractor in the field so I had something to attach my winch too.
Sorry to hear you got cleaned out by the limb - they store some serious energy for sure. At least the newbie came through, which is a massive bonus I guess.
Those stems look really clean - tight grain?
