It is a victim of deferred maintenance. Grandaddy used to keep it sprayed and that controlled the lily pads...he died in 1988. It has not gotten the attention it needs for years. We had an overabundance of coon tail in the 90s and my father used grass carp to control it. But a regular program...

It still whispers to me and even calls loudly once in awhile. My focus right now is getting that excavator back down to the farm to get that pond started draining and then while we let that mess dry out see if the D7 is usable. I haven't given up on it.

It did sink a talon in his left thumb...he was very cool and controlled as he extricated himself. Lots of folks would have panicked when the talons locked down. I think his DT's are understandable...that beak could have done some great harm. His knife seemed very sharp, too.

I like this guy! Good video. I have picks and have picked quite a few...sometimes takes 10 seconds, sometimes 10 minutes and sometimes I just give up. I used to mount cylinders in 1x4 boards to practice with. It's a useful skill. I'll look this lawyer up. Good share!
