It's annoying that both companies listed are doing via (cr)apps only. There doesn't need to be a special program to deliver web assets. There's already a perfectly suitable technology called a "web browser". A website can be easily updated, and accessed with any browser. No bloat in the programs...

Though I haven't read it, this book is probably good. Educational while being entertaining. Both writers have a science background; Kelly more so than Zach, so it isn't just random hacks writing about stuff. I occasionally post SMBC comics(Zach writes them) in the 'funny picture' thread...
Any of you seen The Expanse tv series? That looked like a more realistic view(minus the outlandish overall plot) of a space future than is typically seen in media. Not nearly as appealing as Star Trek.
I just glossed over the artillery article. I wonder how close you can be to the gun with shielding setup? Seems like an ideal job for a robot. Maybe keep the humans 100' away, and operate the guns electronically?
