Guess I’m upgrading my 10 year old excavator… for size reference it’s a 24” bucket on the old, 36” bucket on the new. Now my mini excavator is bigger than @BIGTWIG ‘s, but his smallest excavator is bigger than my mini 😂😂

Really? Seems like it'd get in the way to me. I like a short, sloping front with the least overhang for getting around tight spots.

Nice I paid $80 for that model on a Black Friday deal a couple weeks back. Also bought the 4250 amp version at the same time for ~$300.

In general roll in so the log is sitting on the bucket vs between the thumb and bucket. As the thumb drifts it is less likely to drop the log on you.

Damn people have an absolute boner for trailer spec minutia. 14klb of axles, 10% tongue load makes 15.4klb, minus 4k for the trailer and 10k for the ex, we’ve still got napkin math capacity to spare, saving the bus load of nuns and orphans from certain peril. Get a dually and you’ll probably...

On an excavator it’s when you use the arm to lift the front of the tracks then turn with the tracks while rotating the house. Less ground damage and potentially easier in the machine.

I doubt I was in it, I stopped by on the way to a bid.

I don’t think it weighs 2klb. His ex is only one size bigger than yours/same as mine. My first ex was the previous generation of yours. It did well.

Sprayed two tanks this morning in a couple hours. Definitely a massive improvement over my previous setup.

Bought a 45 gallon electric sprayer last year for the Defender. It takes too long to spray, so I built a Carl version. I assume I’ll make changes to it/add things. At some point I may build an aluminum skid for it, but for now the plywood makes changes quick and easy. 110 gallon tank up to...

I forgot I bought the trailer this month. Today I bought a Stihl SR430 and broke it in spraying 14 gallons of bifenthrin this evening hopefully smoking the mosquito population around the house. So far I'm very encouraged by the notable reduction of bugs (almost elimination) around the exterior...

I’m handy with a welder. I’ve already had the idea of cutting off the whole dovetail and building a hydraulic dovetail. Also considered making the ramps remote control. Tilt trailers aren’t great for hauling multiple machines, usually. I’ve had a hydro dove before, it rocked. 25+5’ Played...

Bought a little loader for my forwarder. 370ish hours, still under warranty, has AC. ~4klb 38ish hp 101” lift height 2600lb tipping capacity 7.5mph 48” wide 90” long without an attachment 11” tracks I’ve had a PT30 before, this is basically the same size, little more power for the AC.

My summer help didn't have time to help milling, so I didn't develop the business.... might as well capture the profit while it's available. If the economy tanks, maybe I can buy it back for less than I bought it for to start with!
