The flaw is the massive force by which I drive the wedges??? I must agree ;-) Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

I guess I was taught early on that you place one in either side right up by the hinge to help support the hinge and the one in back is to help left the tree up and over center. It's just the way I do trees that are pretty much straight up and down. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

We had one of those hard head wedges that we tried out last time we bought some wedges. I liked in until that last tree that we dropped..... It was a 40" White Oak that we completely brushed out. Probably about a 50 ft stem was left standing pretty much straight up and down. I used two other...

Can you even buy the KK device any more? If you could, is the Hobbs really that much better? And why? Don't they do the exact same thing? Not knocking the Hobbs..... Just wondering since I've never used either. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

We didn't get a volume discount.... We were working with the commercial salesman but I guess two is not enough to qualify. Each truck was the same price..... $36k apiece. I thought that was fair for what we got. MSRP was $42k each and we still got 0%. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

We recently bought two Ford F150's to replace our aging pickup fleet. Ford was offering 0% financing for 6 years so we jumped on it. I've never been a Ford guy but now I own 3! I have to say these are much better family trucks than my regular cab GMC 2500 was. Sent from my SM-G900V using...

D you mean the engine has to be running to lower the cutting wheel. Yes. Nothing works without the engine running Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

After thinking about it more I think it probably wouldn't matter either. You can't release the pressure from this machine like you could with our old 252. So if the cutter wheel is up or down, there's still going to be the same amount of pressure in the system. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

Thanks for the pointers.... I assumed it would be harder on the machine to put the cutter wheel down. I'll drop it down from now on. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

After months of waiting on Vermeer to fix a computer glitch we finally got our new grinder. Going out on Sunday to test it out. I'm pretty excited, but after waiting for so long I'm just glad to be getting back to normal. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

Specs say it's an oz or two lighter than Stihl..... I can tell it's heavier than our 192's but we also run 12" bars on our 192's and on my Tanaka.

I was pretty impressed with the 355 today. Ours has the 16 inch bar on it and we can bury it in Ash and it doesn't even bog down. It definitely worth the money compared to the 192. I'm guessing we will put a 14", or even a 12" bar on it for pruning, but I kind of like the 16" for removals...

I'll probably have a real good idea of how well it works after Monday. I'll definitely post a quick review, although it's been a long time since I ran a 200 so I'll mostly be comparing it to the 192. I'm hoping it will blow the 192 out of the water.

Jumping brands again..... Going to give the Echo CS355T a try. I've heard great things about this particular saw but time will tell. We have some big Ash removals scheduled for next week which will be a great test for it.

No kidding...... I guess I've just never looked at the right time. Every once in a while I see them come up around here, but that's like once or twice a year.
