Mmm…I’d say .325” is smaller overall than 3/8” and 3/8” LP smaller yet.

Send the 026 to @huskihl ;-) And yes I think that would be a good setup. I ran a 4910 (I think) that he ported and it was super light and powerful for its size. Smaller version of my 346.

Sometimes I consider going back to all full size 3/8” ;-) simpler

I have not gotten around to trying the small chain on bigger saws yet but Aussies race with 23rs….fast!

Guys have done it, on YT I’m sure. Trick is, a tiny difference in sharpening or raker height could throw it off. I had filed this chain last time and wasn’t happy with it so I went over it with a husky roller guide and she came to life. The 23rs I have run a lot and it flat rips and doesn’t...

On shorter bars I bet 23rs is faster. More cutters closer together. Maybe even on 24”, only concern would be chip flow.

I am reasonably certain that in 20” wood the 346 is faster than my ported 28” 70cc with std round ground work chain.

This thing keeps impressing me. Kevin’s don’t 4 stroke as high as other builders, but the little guy pulls HARD. I usually run 20” 23rs, narrow kerf .325, and I was gonna try 24”, but I would have had to convert a bar from 3/8” to .325 and I wanted to keep it for my 60cc ported saws. So I...

I ran a red 346 by Kevin last year, and I was impressed with how hard it pulled, so I had to have one too.

That’s about three parts saws…it’s what’s on the inside that counts.

A little playin with the “risky business” pine. Kevin ported 2166. It’s rare I get soft green wood. Next time I will break out the 3120.

Actually, 60cc ported would be about right for burying 20" in hard stuff.

I think @Bermy needs one so she doesn't have to wrassle a 70cc saw up in a tree. ;-)
