Ahhh thanks for the reminder, on Tungsten's, Dave. I know there are dedicated grinders available, but at the cost of a cheap bench grinder, why bother in a home shop? To sharpen them, dedicate one new wheel on a bench grinder for each type that you would be grinding(to keep from contaminating...

Brendan, you practically stole that. That will be more machine than you'll probably ever need. :D Just remember, aluminum is a fickle bird to weld until you get past the learning curve of tigging it. Use your cleaning obsession to your advantage with your material preps... use a dedicated...

The one that Paul is talking about is for screws and small to moderate lag and typical bolts, so it doesn't need to be a "monster." I love using my impact driver for light and moderate assembly work(automotive or engine assembly and tear down), along with the intended construction and home...

Golf shoes here... I think I was hornswaggled into playing a round of golf at a fancy country club, with the electrical/electronics department head(my former electronics professor) and the college president. :O I've only played one round before.... this will be fun.

My old Fujifilm Finepix is slowly dying out. It was to a point that I was starting to miss some good shots. I changed that this morning. :/: I made the leap to the digital SLR side. It was a little more than what I wanted to pay, but I justified it by knowing I have two decent lenses to start...

Noice! :dur: I'm getting the Smith and Wesson Duracoated soon in Olive drab, and black, and I'm now looking at new collapsible stocks to replace the plastic Dragunov stock on my AK, as well as getting it modded so I can use standard mags instead of Saiga mags. The next gun is going to be...

Pauly! Can you not get .22lr subsonics? The bolt is louder than the "bang" when used in a bolt-action. Otherwise, you still cant beat a carton(of regular .22 LR) of 500-550 for less than 8.00 here. Try finding Tannerite targets... provided that they are legal in the United States of...

With having a "portable mig(Flux cored, for now) welder, I needed a cart. I could have just kept carrying it around by hand , but the cart allows me to get some better organization, and when I add a MIG kit, I will now have a place to store a gas cylinder. It's not finished. I need to attach...

I had enough of using the school-provided clear(and tinted[for cutting]) face shields. I had both classes canceled this afternoon, so I went back for a new face shield. With the fact I am doing more work at home, fabrication-wise, I decided 25.00 was cheaper than having kissed a grinding wheel...
