Every once in a rare while I'll see somebody that takes pride in what they do. For what I see in the arborist field, they are usually at comps, conferences, or forums like this. For the majority, pretty mediocre. Compare to the average person in Germany or Japan, it's a pretty low bar.

Wow! Seems like there should be an "off" button.

How many years have you been doing that to those trees? Looks like cuts go all the way back flush.

I lived in B'ham 45 years ago, and seem to remember light dustings of snow every now and then. Seems builders would prepare for that. But maybe not.

Hmm, interesting. Thanks, Rich. Is that how you do it for all trees with a bore cut, or just leaners?

I can attest that Sean is pretty good at rigging stuff up. I love speedlines, especially when it comes to zipping down a cat in the bag!

Assuming the saw is sitting upright on the ground, you mean put the switch UP into choke, and then flip down to run, yes?

There is no half way position on my switch. It's either up or middle, with a spring-loaded down kill position, but then it returns to the middle.

Pretty good video, thanks. I will try putting the switch all the way up, then down to re-start. The problem has not been when it's cold or hot (hot being when I turn it off for 30 seconds and back on), but when it somewhere in-between, luke-warm.

    Where's half-choke?

    The Official Work Pictures Thread

First start from sitting overnight is not usually the problem. It's after I've run it for a few cuts, then turn it off for 5-10 min, then try to restart. Whether I choke it or not on the restart attempt, it flat won't go,even with a dozen pulls. I have to hold the throttle on full and pull...

My 562xp cuts well, but the start switch is awful. Wish I knew the trick to start it.
