When John and I work together we go over the rigging plan for each cut. Where it’s going to go, if it will fit, where it needs to be tied, weight, where the climber will be, and what to do with the rigging line. 2 heads are better than 1. Some of the smaller and very basic situations don’t...

No way, Jose! You’re right about a great many things Gerry, but, I must respectfully disagree on this one. You can tell he practiced his ladder riding for a number of years to get so smooth. He goes from standing to crouching while holding the rung and back to standing just before impact. He...

Obviously the groundie should have been at least 30’ further away in this situation but this seems like a huge chunk to rig. 2 pieces would have been better imho. Is the 2 piece me being fearful because of ignorance or is it just prudent sense?

What did you want me to do boss?!?! The lift didn’t go any higher!!!! That’s as small of a top as I could take!! Hard to fathom how a whole site full of people with that type of load out could be so stupid

It may be hazardous and stupid fun, but saddling up and wrapping around a figure 8 attached to the bridge and going for a ride MAY be fun?! Just belay once the ride is over. Sudden acceleration and smacking the trunk would be concerning.

The flying groundie videos are what keeps me from wrapping my hands around ropes.

This is one I’ve never seen on the fail videos. He goes 0-60mph in a second and ends up 25’ or so in the air. It ends with him hand over hand climbing down.

That was the wrong link!🤣. The one I tried to post was a flying groundie. He looked un injured thank goodness. I’m sure he never wrapped his hands around a rigging line afterwards. I’ll see if I can find it.

He’s of the “climb low, cut big” school of thought.

I tried to do a specific video but it linked to an account. The guy has lots of fails posted though. That’s the channel Cory was talking about and properly linked some of his videos.
