In case anyone else stumbles on this thread in the future the 1/4in sprocket for each saw is CS-2511: A556-001710 DCS-2500: A556-001910

    Husky T540I XP

Gotcha, so how does the 540 (with the bli200 in saw) compare to the weight and performance of a 201? also update on the dcs2500: got the monkey beaver panther conversion kit for the saw. A video I watched stated that the sprocket was the same as the cs2511 but that is not true. The drum...

    Husky T540I XP

On the topic of the husky t540ixp. Does anyone have experience with this saw where you can talk about the weight and handling of it say compared to a 201tc? Used my bosses today when my battery died and besides for the chain being dull I enjoyed it. Was curious where the weight of the husky fell...

So far the only yellow label 3/8lp chain I have ran is the versa cut from Oregon. Been super happy with it on my 355 and it’s on my 2500 now until I convert it to 1/4 pitch. One thing I like about the 12in panther kit for my echo is that it’s the exact same chain and drive link count as the...

Very true, the versa cut I have been running is a semi chisel. Is there a good brand of chain that is 3/8lp and still full chisel? Also just did my first dead battery to full recharge and it took 57min so that’s pretty good if I’m always running two batteries and a charger on the job

One day I may put a 1/4in conversion with a 14in bar on my Cs355t. Now that saw would absolutely scream through some wood lol

I’m sure my old boss had home owner chains on it. I told him about the pro yellow label chains and he wouldn’t listen to me (another motivation as to why I don’t work for him anymore lol). I’m sure they could be modified to be nasty. Only thing I saw happen to his was the week before I resigned...

    Husky T540I XP

My old boss had a 194 and it felt good in the hands but I felt like it had a real slow cut. My new boss has a 201tc and I’m free to use his saw instead of mine but I need to give his a proper sharp and ground testing before I take it in the air. I typically take one saw to work, anything more...

I’m definitely excited to run it. We got a snow today that was just bad enough to stop us from doing tree work but didn’t stick on the streets well enough to get plow work so I got to clean all my gear and ropes today 😁 probably gonna order the panther conversion kit today and get a second...

    Husky T540I XP

I know that I want the 1/4in and will definitely end up getting it soon. I’m just the type of guy that likes to test and use things in all situations. The additional 3/8lp chain I got was only $17 and ultimately I have another echo saw so having a back up chain and bar for it would always be...

I’ll be sure to update y’all with how it’s performing in the winter. Having a winter storm coming through so the tree job tomorrow will probably be more like a snow plow day

Great points nutball, it’s a new product that isn’t even technically released yet so I’m hoping they put decent components in the battery and motor to handle hot humid summers. My original plan was to buy a fully modded 2511 but when I saw the electric version was coming out I got a little too...

    Husky T540I XP

It was $500 with the charger and battery. I can buy a handheld blower with a charger and battery for only $200. The saw can only take the 2.5ah battery so eventually I’ll buy the battery blower to give myself an extra battery. I ordered a yellow label Oregon versa cut chain for it so I’ll see...

    Husky T540I XP

I don’t have experience with the 2511 I know it was built to be the electric version of the 2511. My weight reference is from a YouTube video from where she weighed both saws full of all fluids. Technically the saw is not available. The Home Depot stores near me are also echo dealers and 2...

    Husky T540I XP

Yeah I love the idea of being able to just zip off overhead suckers without having to start a saw or leave it running. Would probably make my silky obsolete. The few people on YouTube that has got to demo the saw said they would get a whole tree/day out of it. Luckily the other accessories in...

    Husky T540I XP

No there much different. The battery is actually like 7in long. Gonna pick up the hand held blower soon so I’ll have a second battery. My Cs355t with a 16in bar gets too hard to handle especially if I’m on an awkward limb walk and gotta set a notch one handed. According to “femalearborist” on...

On the topic of electric saws I picked this up today, gonna convert it to 1/4 pitch 12in bar eventually but for now I’m gonna test it stock and enjoy the lightness and ease of use:
