    Al, it's only 151 miles from Dalhart, TX to Trinidad, CO. The elevation of each is 3984 and 6025. The snow in the Texas and Oklahoma panhandle's is usually much worse then the remainder of each state. (You couldn't pay me to live in either panhandle) :)

    Hot! Record high for today is 113* Today's forecasted high = 112* Average number of days over 100* = 10 per year. Yesterday was day number 30 over 100* this year. Projected to break the 50 day record. Swimming pool water temp yesterday was 95*

    We average 10 days per year at or above 100*. We had 10 or 11 days in June that broke the 100* mark. July and August are looking hot also. The seven day forecast shows 2 days at 99* and the other 5 days over 100. Makes me not even want to go outside!!!!

    The good thing coming out of Texas is I-35 northbound. :) 6 to 8 inches of snow here. Cold & windy. Most everything is closed today.
