Thanks Cory and others. What really makes it special is being there alone. Not that I dont like company either, but to be at a location like that knowing that theres not another person around for miles on end makes it all the better.

I think its between 250-350cm average in that area Sean. I dont think theres much going on in the hole lxkllr, but it does go upwards a way and has a nice echo to it. I sat there for a while and had a sandwich. Great thing about sites like this is that very few people go there. It seems they...

Ive heard Mick. Although I can't view them because I dont have Facebook. Only thing that seems to deter it is if I add music or watermarking. Thanks anyway

I should add, I didn't say friggin. My word was automatically edited it seems. Friggin is a poor substitute to describe how I feel

Ive come across a ton of fakes in our line of work Jed....mainly pretending to know what they dont know, claiming to have done stuff they haven't or being someone they are not. Then theres others who are just embittered by the ability or success of another person, or maybe just a person who wont...

Thanks Sean, its not meant to be positive mate. The frauds know who they are. Real folk dont need reminding of anything. Ryan I did work with Bill and his son but we didn't do any video. We did have a laugh though

I lost my voice somewhat since the September 13 thread started. Just found it difficult to say much and sound positive with that situation unfolding. Maybe others felt the same. I hope we can keep finding things to say from here onwards. I updated my channel trailer last night....the old one was...

I know a large majority of the forest burnt down around 400 years ago. This one may or may not have been a survivor. Im actually very skeptical about the management of the park. Since a hiker got killed several years ago for choosing to go out in a windstorm, they've acquired a bigger budget...

I think the tight grain of these old growth is more favorable than second growth. But its the sheer weigh of the heavy leaners, and the chances of pre existing internal cracks caused by the wind. Theres obviously ways around it like boring or wing cuts, but the key is being able to read the body...

Cory, The camera man was trying to shake and keep the rain off the lens until the top started to tip. And on the contrary, its a massive sense of relief to get out and away from the bureaucracy of city work. In regards to the hands on work of this particular forest....the rain is expected, the...

Thanks Burnham. I'll bet you can almost smell, taste and feel the bark dust, the rain, the lichens....the soggy fliplines. Working in the PNW this last 8 years has truly been a privilege for me. Itd be very difficult to leave. Ok last sequence from this job. There would've been some big tops...

No damage, Dan. Would've been a big fine had the road got damaged, so it was a very calculated risk. But otherwise it would have been an aweful lot of hours tied up for me to climb that tree and section it down in the rain....especially bringing the big logs down in shorter sections. And then...

Thanks Yes Cory, same site. Majority of the trees are 200 and above. Ive been there 2 days, one more tomorrow. Its been wet, windy and intense. Scaling and topping old growth fir in the wet is no joke.

Big head lean on this one. Lots of movement....maybe 20 ft. But the wide angle lens makes it look much less. Im cutting at about 160-170 ft
