Keep em handy for any work around poison vines, and you won’t feel so bad about throwing them in the trash after.

I’ve always buy 6’ fiberglass middle poles and have a male fitting on the pruner head, the pole saw head, and the pole saw head that doesn’t have a blade. The Jameson fiberglass are pretty durable.

A Silky blade on a stick is a beautiful thing. Unless it’s more than 18’ or so of pole.

Balderdash! It’s every bit as exciting! I still get stupid excited about a new pulley or carabiner. Last month I was all worked up checking the tracking 4 times a day for some new tires.

There’s a lot of folks that highly recommend a cheap homemade concoction, that I think is mostly automatic transmission fluid, applied with a paint gun and air compressor. Trailer should be easy. When they do vehicles, there’s always gonna be some nasty smoke from the amount that gets on exhaust...

My old 300mm Gomtaro has been collecting dust since I got the Tsurugi a couple years ago, nothing wrong with it except a little dull, and I’ve been meaning to get a fine tooth handsaw for the occasional fruit or ornamental tree, so found a 300mm fine tooth blade on Amazon. It’ll come in handy...

I got some of their urethane coated 1/2” too, it’s great. As far as I can tell, it’s Stable Braid at 1/3 the price.

We have a type of hawthorn around here that I think might make some premium hammer or axe handles. Really strong, dense, and often the grain seems twisted. Stringy and difficult to split. Probably heavier than hickory, but not by much.

You got natural gas supply at the property? Might be easier and cheaper to convert it.

They really are. They will bend over backwards to keep their customers happy. Friendly too. If you’re unsure about a feature or something on a product they sell, call during business hours, you’ll get a person helping you right away.

That tiny saw looks handy, looking forward to your thoughts on it after some use. Wonder if leaves cleaner cuts than most chainsaws.

That stainless one looked pretty nice. The builder had a thread going a year or two ago. I still just use the BigShot, but I’ve been eyeballing the air cannons. :)

I got a Petzl Caritool on Toni’s Ergovation. Looks similar to the Porter. She’s just rec climbing, not carrying a saw, so I don’t have to worry about trusting the plastic to not break. It’s nice and fast for stowing loop runners, carabiners, and whatever miscellaneous gear.
