True Blue is a solid braid 12 strand. Also Arborplex and Yale Buzzline and a few others. Maybe it’s do-able but wouldn’t be easy like hollow braid 12s. Nice light rigging line though, generally pretty stretchy, so they’re kinda forgiving with energy absorption.

Wonder if Elmer’s white glue would work. It’s just a little protection from fraying and picked strands.

Easy night at the plant, so spliced the last of my HRC into an eye and eye. Was supposed to be 26” but somehow finished at 25”. I think I’ll still be able to use it with a Michoacán.

If you had spliced it to a chest ascender and run a bungee through it, you’d have a 5/16” clone of the original HAAS knee ascender. Looks good!

Not a ton, but the 5-6” where the tails are buried is definitely firmer/ stiffer. This stuff is nice and flexible though, even on the stiff spots it’ll take the wraps and turns for a hitch, no problem.

I was thinking that too. Add a prusik with another ring on it and it’d have a massive range compared to most other adjustable friction savers.

Went through the exact same thing with 3/8” SB. Cover and core are all pink.
