Here in CA. I pay 1200.00 approx annually to heat water and cook. That's it. Propane. Wood supplies our winter heat. For the base cost of processing it. Labor and fuel. Jim lives in a place where wood is sparse at best.

When I lived in MA, we had kerosene /heating oil on an old boiler set up (radiators) that was originally coal. And a oil burning flat top stove. It was way cheaper to heat with wood in our large wood stove. Modern systems, maybe not. Way cheaper here in CA to heat with wood vs propane, electric...

Timing was all wrong. And now definitely wrong with the current housing market and interest rates. Time to just chill and stay to fight the fight or let it sort itself out. Having kids and elderly parents helps with that decision making.

You legally need an LTO (there are three classes of LTO) or Licensed Forester to submit a harvest plan. Even on your own property if you are going...

Time for some new bricks. Already replaced the glass and seals couple years ago after Levi bumped a piece of wood closing it. I was impressed with the packing job. Two of these boxes packed inside another stuffed with paper. Think I'll save them to ship something fragile or heavy someday.

 Some oak project planks. Rob is still working on something. Personally would have moved them to the other side of the room. They are pretty much dried. Been in the house for a couple years. Might be some loss if he does not move or use them.
