    Thanks Stihl

About the only thing anyone can figure on this saw it the ignition "trigger" unit is jacked up. I'm told it was a common problem. As usual the part is nla...so I called the oldest dealer around 40+ years in business. Turns out the part was used on multiple saws, he had a parts saw with the...

The fitting to make my own puller was $35.. Our new dealer didn't have one, quick trip to the old dealer had it off in 5 minutes. Ed

So my 084 has developed an attitude... Wants to kick back when starting. All is well with the choke on full, once it fires, flip the lever up a notch, yer screwed. First check, flywheel key. Ummm nope, threads for the puller are unique (larger) for the 084, my puller won't work. Damnit! Off to...

It bothered me to cut up that Maple, 2 good saw logs there. Sadly, they were to big for our mill, its also manual, turing the cant would've been a pita. When quartering the blocks I had 3 cuts that I had to wedge open. WTH? Stress? Grain? Never had that before Started splitting, damn, beautiful...

    The 2100 Club

A friend had one, excellent condition. He decided to sell it one day, guess he remembered running my 084, decided he didn't need that much "fun" in his life anymore. Yea, they are a "real mans" saw. Ed

I shamed a friend bad with it. He had a Walkerized J-red, one size bigger. It didn't cut it... Few days later I get a call "Damnit Eddie, If I buy a 460 can you make it cut like yours? Lmao... Yup. Ed

    MS 460

I have the older 046.....old enough its a factory dual port saw. Yup, a little heavy but its a cutting sob. It has no issues pulling a 36" bar when I need it for a few cuts. Usually have a 20" bar on it. Ed

Time to move it or lose it today. 30+ soft maple, it went over a year ago, edge of the muck ground. Getting to it was a problem, dad got the top out last fall when it was dry. Today I got the trunk out. Started by getting the 084 & 36" bar out, hadn't ran in 3 years.....wiped the moss off it...

    Sprocket on bar tip shattered

To my knowledge, whoever owns Forrester sources their products from anyone cheap. My bar is 10 years old. Baileys was sourcing their Arbor pro bars from China about the same time. Bought 2, sprocket tip went out in 1, the other was cheap laminated steel, welds came apart. Neither made it thru 2...

The New Offical Mutts of the House thread

We had one puppy in the winter.....that was NOT an enjoyable expierence potty training him. Thankfully, it wen't quick once I took over. Would take him to bed with me, I would wake up when he would walk around on the bed looking for a "good spot", grab him and head for the door. Ed
