    New pull start handles

My last post reminded me that some years ago I had a fight with this same saw, and the chainsaw won that battle hands down :|:. 15 years ago! Wow, time flies. And I thought I was old then... https://www.masterblasterhome.com/threads/damaged-goods.13543/

    New pull start handles

Yup. The 088 we had at my FS station was ever willing to bite you hard like that. Over 120cc's will do that :D. Little wonder I pretty much had sole use of it...not too many were willing to give it a go, at least more than once :). I never had any trouble pulling over my 064 until the last...

Like me being tempted to shotgun that realtor's drone out of my airspace a while back. Trouble is right.

Yeah, with that single point of view, and from that angle and distance, very hard for me to say before further evidence presented itself :).

I heard an NPR report just this morning from some AI image creation specialists that said it can be very difficult to tell now. I dunno, grain of salt...but I am clueless. How did you "just know"?

    New pull start handles

In another thread elsewhere on the site I lamented my increasing difficulty at times starting my 064. Due mostly to arthritic hands and decreased hand strength coupled with the lack of compression release on an 85cc saw. I have my bad days and my better days. The kickback can hurt, besides...

How can you tell, @Mick! The tech is getting so good these days...and I'll readily admit to not being suspicious enough.

The trick that can be hard for some operators on the ascendant side of experience is actually realizing when they are wading into dangerous waters. Without that, the "rethink and do whatever needs doing" that @Mick! speaks of will be hard to stumble unto. Like @davidwyby's grandpa says, "they...

I actually would feel much better about that failure, knowing it was not bad material, but rather bad installation of the swage. Poor quality cable you cannot fix...poor quality assembly, you can.

You are not surprised by this revelation, I hope? :P

That's plenty of radius. I think you are correct...less that top grade cable is likely the culprit.
