    How'd it go today?

Went and looked at some trees needing cut (pretty good sized job) and some machines for sale. Small walkabout in gorgeous weather, good for the soul, didn't realize that was what I needed. Took some pretty pictures.

    How'd it go today?

Tons of rot, but there are a lot of solid sections, sadly very short because a line clearance co took it down. There are no log trucks to hire. My guy cut ten feet of frame off his log truck and put a dump body on it last summer.

Got a good source for Stihl parts online?

I remembered this thread after my foray into acquiring the large D handles for my 064 and 044 saws. This seller on eBay has what seems like Stihl OEM parts, not knockoffs. I can't vouch for all prices, but at least some are better than my local dealer. Not to say cheap :). Might be worth a...

I think what he was thinking is the redirect was just that but the line angles made it his primary rigging point taking the load of the drop.

    House mold?

Looks like old metal wire mesh base. Better than the kind they had before that-a fairly heavy sheet metal with holes in it. Miserable.

    House mold?

When I bought my house 10 years ago (Fannie Mae repo) it had been vacant for over 2 years. Leaks everywhere. When I ripped out the kitchen cabinets, the wall behind the sink was black. I replaced the drywall up to 4' high. That got 95% of it. The rest was scraped, primed and painted. Both...

    Wall of Shame: Wannabe Experts

Looks like a failed redirect??? Purple understand redorects do certain things without fully understanding the vector forces. I had a contact climber redirecting through maple leads, but all leaned the same way. I had to keep telling him to go smaller. One fork then failed, but without a...

King Tides with a side of heavy wind and surf

You two would really like Bayfield northern most point of Wisco on Lake Superior. They had a couple of storms bring in 30+ foot waves this year.
