throw line methods

Was throwing the ball for dog the other day with a Chuckit and gears started turning; drill hole through a tennis ball, shove some pencil lead in it and run the throw line through. Good accuracy and got some up to 80 ft. My lab dog sure seems to be exited.

Much more ingenious than my setup, I have a fishing reel mounted to a pointy stick. I stick it in the ground with the reel aimed at the tree, and use a slingshot to shoot a 1/4" drive socket attached to the line over the branch, then pull my regular throw line over. the reel makes retrieval from missed shots very quick. I used to have a chuck it around here somewhere, i might have to go find it now. . .

I tried it once for shitz and giggles with a bigshot, yeah, had to climb to get everything untangled.
