Root pruning

Has anyone heard of or used a sugar solution to stimulate root growth after root pruning? Just read about it in the western chapter publication

Yes. I always thought it helped, but there are those who disagree. simple sugar and Rootone seemed like it aided in fine root growth.

If we can get it right, it would be true "tree food". I have heard of it too, but nothing recently. Be interested to find out more.
